Meeting Updates- May 8th

IMG_0001 2We had the pleasure of having Clydie Howard as a guest at our meeting today.  We hope we have the pleasure of her joining us again.

Aktion Club meets on May 18th from 10:30-11 in shop 4 at Pine Castle.  If you are able to join us we would love to have you enjoy some craft time with the students.

Rande is looking for volunteers for the last BUGs ceremony.  It is May 26th and there is 3 shifts you are able to sign up for.  If you are able, sign up.  BUGs is a wonderful way to see how we help kids achieve more in life.  They’ve brought up grades all year long and now have the chance to win 1 of 36 bikes our Kiwanis Club is donating.

The 2017 Golf Tournament was a huge success.  A BIG thank you to Joel Nichols for heading up the tournament this year and for all the dedication given.  We are thankful to Michelle Fusillo for offering to take on a co-chair position with the tournament.  If you would like to join Michelle in being a co-chair for the tournament, please let us know.

Steve has the next Highway Clean Up on Thursday May 18th.  If you are able to join him, please send Steve an email.

Steve is also working with our next Interclub.  The next interclub meeting is with the Orange Park club on Tuesday May 9th.

Remember to keep clipping your box tops and bring them to the meeting.

Meeting Updates: May 1

IMG_0001Our next BUGs (Bringing Up Grades) ceremony will be a large one.  We are expecting up to 5 ceremonies.  It will be a large one and we hope to have your help on the day of the ceremony.  Our next ceremony is on May 26th.

Our 2017 Charity Golf Tournament was last Monday.  What a wonderful time had by all!  We are excited to say that we Grossed over $10,000 with a net around $5,000 to hep fund our programs for the next year.

Our Aktion Club meets on May 18th at 10:30. We’ll have a craft for the student sand would love for you to join us at Pine Castle.

Safe Harbor is winding down and some of the boys are going home for the summer.  A few of the boys will stay during the summer.  Please continue to bring in donations during that summer as they need them.

We are looking to do an Interclub with the Orange Park club next Tuesday, May 9th.  We would like to meet at noon at Moosehaven.

Our 50/50 drawing was won by Jimmy Richardson.  Congrats Jimmy, you can now crank your motorhome!!
